Dumfries House - Saved?

The SNP’s first u-turn - campaigning to save Dumfries House, I was dismissed by SNP MPs - why would they spend money on that?  Now, thanks mainly to the Prince of Wales, the House has been saved by money that includes £5 million from Historic Scotland.  Alex Salmond got in on the act by getting a quote in the press release.

  1. Yet again Alex Salmond has shown how something worthwhile and of benefit to the nation can be saved without the government having to fork out a fortune to save it. £5,000,000 from the Scottish Government is a steal compared to the sums campaigners were demanding from the SNP government. Why spend all the money yourself when you can get others to pay for it?

  2. I hope the money didn’t come from English patients
