Your words, back in February. Any news yet?

It looks as though the Budget has had a huge political effect. The Conservatives now have a 16% lead according to YouGov and a 13% lead according to ICM. Long may it continue.

Canvas, best place to find these scams, sorry, public service partnership delivery aspirations, is in Private Eye (only partly online - you'll have to pony up to get the full printed version).

Ed, since the public don't want to pay even more than they already do for gvt, how about making all MPs and local councillors self-employed, contracted by the Queen on an annual basis, with fully audited accounts? I'd like to see how Yvette and Ed are in such dire straits that they are forced to claim second home allowance on their joint income of £500+K. Shouldn't someone be telling them to sell their second home if they're that broke?

Oh, hang on, they can't sell their homes, can they? Something to do with the state of the economy and HIPs buggering up the housing market.

Why doesn't the government make all of their spending clear on a website where the public can see where all of our tax is being spent? What is wrong with some public accountability?
