Ed, please... if you correct a mistake in your blog then at least have the decency to put a line through your original text (in order to let people know that you made a mistake). thank you.

you said initially said 2001 - not 2009. correct? :) :(

Hi Votedave,

From my feminine point of view - I must agree with you - David Miliband is a looker. But he is also seriously clever and very capable. I would love to see a contest between Cameron and Miliband in the next general election. They would both have to raise their game - it would be very interesting and very exciting. But sadly, we're stuck with goofball Gordon Brown for the foreseeable future.

Read a bit of Barack Obama's 'Father's Day speech', below... David Cameron must LOVE this Obama speech - it's so DC - don't you think? LoL Obama to win. :)

"You and I know how true this is in the African-American community. We know that more than half
of all black children live in single-parent households, a number that has doubled - doubled -
since we were children. We know the statistics - that children who grow up without a father are
five times more likely to live in poverty and commit crime; nine times more likely to drop out
of schools and twenty times more likely to end up in prison. They are more likely to have
behavioral problems, or run away form home, or become teenage parents themselves. And the
foundations of our community are weaker because of it.

How many times in the last year has this city lost a child at the hands of another child? How
many times have our hearts stopped in the middle of the night with the sound of a gunshot or a
siren? How many teenagers have we seen hanging around on street corners when they should be
sitting in a classroom? How many are sitting in prison when they should be working, or at least
looking for a job? How many in this generation are we willing to lose to poverty or violence or
addiction? How many? "

Well needless to say David Cameron can count on my support. All will be revealed by the next Conservative manifesto I'm sure - as I have said before, policy making cannot be done overnight. ;) It's true that he has swung things around for the party after the failures of the past decade or so because he can appeal beyond the core Tory vote.

David Miliband is a good looking guy, but that's as far as my admiration goes I'm afraid. I disagree with his stances on 42-day detention and the EU Constitution among many other things. Why won't he challenge Gordon Brown for the Labour leadership I ask?

By the way, how can David Davis talk about 'Liberty' when he is pro-hanging? The next dodgy politician to watch out for is Liam Fox. He appears to be so untrustworthy. :(

I wish David Cameron would be more clear about how he REALLY feels about certain issues. Sometimes David Cameron comes across as a bit wishy washy on the big issues. I want to see PASSION.

I like David Cameron a lot - but I still don't trust the Conservative old guard. Not at all.
I would vote for the Lib Dems if I thought they could really make a difference - and if I thought they could actually win a general election. But Cameron is a far better option than Gordon Brown - Brown is useless. David Miliband as Labour leader would make politics far more interesting...

By the way, you're good on the Wright Stuff, Ed.

2001? errmm what?!

Clinton, Romney hahaha

Obama to win! :)

Now...

David Davis - WTF is that all about?

David Davis is VAIN. David Davis is full of self-importance. Deluded.

If you think that this pointless, weird and unintelligent move by David Davis is to do with 'honour' - then you are away with the fairies.

Cameron must be furious at this distraction. I hope Cameron keeps Davis on the back benches when he returns.

I think David Davis has behaved in a selfish, immature and irresponsible manner. if he really cared about this country he would fight Gordon Brown from a position of power. Too bad his vanity clouded his judgement.

Bye Bye David Davis ! Time to move on.
